Sindhi Function (Cheti Chand) is Just Like "Navratri For Gujarati's", Ganesh Chaturthi For Maharastrian People, Eid For Muslim People and Christmas For Christians. "Chati Chand" is A New Year For Sindhi People and They Celebrate This Festival With Loads Of Happiness and Prosperity. 




Sindhi People Believe In Lord "Jhulelal" and "Cheti Chand" is Celebrated Because Commemorate The Birth Anniversary of "Ishtadeva Uderolal" Popularly Known As "Jhulelal". 





On The Occasion of "Cheti Chand" Some Of The Sindhi People Keep There Fast and The is Not Like Normal Fast. The "Chaliya" Fast is A Fast Which is of 40 Days, No Onion / Garlic, No Cutting Hairs / Nails Etc. These Are Some Rules For Those Who Want To Keep The There Fast Seriosly.





On The Last Day Of "Chaliya" There is A Ritual Called "Matiki" Which Means "Pot" and The On This Day Sindhi People Go To "Chaliya Mandir" With There "Matki's" and Make There Wishes. Also Many People Keep "Mannat" Which Means A Promise That If Someone's Wish Fulfills and Then They Take A Decorated Matki and After That Follow The Same Ritual After That.
